Mrs. Nodolski's Three-Year-Old Class- February

 

That groundhog really saw his shadow?  I  think someone is pulling my leg.  I didn't see any sun the morning of Feb. 2. 

 

We start the month of February with some fun activities involving our February weatherman.  We have flashlight day, play with the light table, and make a cute groundhog craft.

 

We then move on so some other February units;  Valentines's Day of course, dental health, and if time maybe a President's Day activity.

 

The Shape books will come home this month.  We are finishing up with circle.  Then we will make our cover and home they come. The children did wonderfully with their cutting.  I was surprised to learn many can write their name also--aren't they awesome?

Mrs. Ackerman's Pre-K Class-February
 
Here we are at the month of February already. Our school year is going by so quickly.
 
February is devoted to Groundhog's Day, Valentine's Day, and good health.  We will be making crafts, singing songs, and playing games for these units.
 
Our Valentine Party will be on Monday, February 13, please remember to send in your cards by this date.
 
For our number books we will be adding numbers 7 and 8--we're getting close. 
 
There are lots of letters to add this month too.  We will be working on D, P, B, R, and K.
 
Don't forget Parent-Teacher conferences are this month.  They will be help Wed., Feb. 2.  Keep an eye out for a sign up sheet.

Well, look at that, this year is a leap year.  Oh no, I've got to think of something else to do.

 

We are going to be very busy as usual the next few months.  I am planning to incorporate some themes together:  good health, safety, pets, and community helpers together.  I love to be able to visit places that can help us with our community helpers unit. But , I also thought it would be great to visit those helpers during the units we are discussing.   

 

February we will be discussing Groundhog's Day, Valentine's Day,  Dental Health, and good health.  We will have a visitor to help us learn good dental habits.

 

Conferences will be held this month on Wednesday, Feb. 22.  Keep an eye out for a sign up sheet.

 

Our number books should be coming home this month.  We will finish up 9 and 10, add a cover, and send them home.  The children did a wonderful job.
